Mesoamerican websites

There are many websites devoted to the Aztecs, their history and culture, and I have listed below a few which may be of interest.  Needless to say (as any author of historical fiction or compiler of government dossiers will tell you!) anything found on the internet should be treated with caution and checked very carefully.

www.mexicolore.co.uk: Mexicolore describes itself as a small independent company based in London providing specialist educational services on Mexico and the Aztecs.  There are several pages devoted to the Aztecs including book reviews and a pronunciation guide.

www.aztecs.org.uk: if you missed the amazing exhibition at the Royal Academy in 2002-3, you can still visit the website.  A very useful site, focusing of course on Aztec art and culture, with plenty of useful links to other Aztec/mesoamerican resources.

www.azteccalendar.com: full of information about this extraordinarily complex subject, and featuring a calculator to place dates in both Julian and Gregorian calendars in their proper Aztec years, "months", "weeks" and days.

Please note: I am not responsible for anything that appears on any of the websites that this page links to.  On the other hand, the owners of those websites are not responsible for anything that appears here, either.
